Save the Rope!!!

June 1, 2015    Dear FRIEND, As you now know, the permit for the year-round rope at Casa Beach expires in July and the California Coastal Commission will be voting on a new permit at their meeting in June. The rope has been very successful in helping to prevent human harassment of the seals and we cannot lose it! While hundreds of caring seal supporters have sent Save the Rope! emails to the Commissioners, this may not be enough! Please join us at the California Coastal Commission meeting on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 (to view the agenda for the meeting, click here). We are busing seal supporters out of San Diego to Newport Beach, organizing presentations, and doing anything else possible to demonstrate to the Commissioners that the rope works!
