GOLETA, Calif. – Activists gathered at Goleta Beach Saturday to protest Shell’s plans to drill for oil in the Arctic Ocean.
We’re here because Shell is threatening to drill in the Arctic and we need to say “Shell no!” said Becca Classen of Food Water Watch.
The gathering is part of a nationwide movement to stop Shell’s oil and gas exploration leases in the Chukchi Sea off the coast of Alaska.
