Big money is to politics what toxic chemicals are to the environment.

Always, always follow the money. The fact that Bernie's campaign is being financed entirely by small donors -- and has already come up with an impressive total -- is confounding Washington insiders. More significantly, it means he's not beholden to the moneyed interests, doesn't represent them, obviously isn't one of them (as is Donald Trump and as was Mitt Romney), and can continue to tell the truth about what's happened to the economy and our democracy.
Big money is to politics what toxic chemicals are to the environment. Once it's allowed to seep in, there's no end to the pollution. Bernie is unpolluted. This, in and of itself, gives him a huge advantage in an era when most Americans believe -- accurately -- that the game is rigged in favor of those at the top.
