Despite the availability of humane and educationally superior human-patient simulators, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) continues to cut holes into the throats, chests, and limbs of live animals in a surgical training course offered throughout Australia and New Zealand. Most other countries that teach the course have switched to using the popular TraumaManand other high-tech human simulators. Urge RACS to stop using animals in trauma training immediately.

Once again, PETA has exposed cruelty on a sheep farm. Shearers were seen hitting sheep with electric clippers, slamming them into the hard floor, and kicking and standing on them. Wool supply company Chargeurs has cut ties with the farm, but it continues to sell wool from other farms. Watch the footage, then speak up for sheep by urging Chargeurs to sell only cruelty-free materials and letting the company know that animals are not ours to wear.

PETA's investigation of Daisy Farms revealed that cows were kicked, whipped, and jabbed with pens or a knife. Workers were seen twisting their tails—which can cause severe pain and even break the bones inside. "You gotta do what you gotta do," shrugged one worker. Calves were torn away from their mothersjust hours after birth so that their mothers' milk could be sold for human consumption. Some calves were even force-fed milk by the workers, which sometimes went into the calves' lungs, essentially drowning them. See the investigation and help these animals by pledging to go vegan.

Thankfully, there is legislation in the works to help end the slaughter of American horses for food—both here and abroad. Act now to help ban horse slaughter!
