CEO CESAR ROMERO, PILIPINAS SHELL PETROLEUM CORPORATION OPEN DEMAND LETTER

10 SEPTEMBER 2020

CESAR G. ROMERO
CEO, PSPC
156 VALERO, MAKATI, 1227
METRO MANILA, PHILIPPINES

OPEN LETTER

DEMAND

FOR A LETTER OF APOLOGY

Dear Mr. Romero,

May I most respectfully demand that a letter of apology be issued before I die and/or before Tabangao Shell Refinery closes down, on the acts done by Messrs Rico Bersamin, then Shell Refinery General Manager and Mr. Bing Veneracion, then Shell Refinery Process Head where they adopted a system where rank and file employees are to be ranked by the supervisors in accordance to work performance and they both rated me 66th, 2nd poorest work performer out of 67 employees, and likewise acts done by Atty. Raul Quiroz wherein these facts and documents were presented to him for careful and diligent analysis, however, he ignored the fact that the list of ten (10) employees to be separated from employment had already been prepared and submitted to DOLE on November 29, 2002, an event which happened earlier than the event supposed to be done first, ranking exercise (an event that needs to happen first), to determine employees to be terminated which was held on January 29, 2003, in the Shell Refinery Admin Room, two (2) months late.

Besides, supervisors closed to me who happened to be in the mentioned ranking exercise, confided to me behind the veil of anonymity that they were directed that Antonio Buensuceso, myself, had to be terminated from employment, thus they had no choice but to obey and include me in the list.

This record of my poor work performance had been recorded and proclaimed by Shell management to all employees in Shell refinery, in all confines of Shell refinery in Tabangao, in the human resources room of Shell House in Makati, within the walls of the NLRC, in the premises of the Court of Appeals and inside the revered chamber of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. I have vehemently objected to this poor performance record since its promulgation. However my pleas happened to bounce back collectively from their deaf ears.

Being undignified, untrue and intrinsically baseless and emotionally devastating for me and my family thus,  it became incumbent upon me to seek all available options and remedies to correct these wrongs, these stigmas inflicted against my person. Hence, I wanted and most humbly and respectfully appeal that PILIPINAS SHELL PETROLEUM CORPORATION, through you, CEO Cesar Romero, to write a letter of apology, showing remorse for these wrongs done against my person before my death and/or TABANGAO SHELL REFINERY closes down.

Yours faithfully

Antonio L. Buensuceso
