to class for this project.

Creating a 30 Second Score

In this project you are to create a 30 second music score in GarageBand. You should have at least one loop and one section that is a software or real instrument that you created yourself using musical typing, MIDI instrument or your own instrument. It can contain any other elements that you see fit.

You are NOT to use Magic GarageBand.

It doesn’t have a to be a beautiful perfectly constructed musical master piece. A score can be music that has a specific tune or loops that are placed together to make an interesting musical background that works with a video, movie, podcast etc that’s playing. So using loops and then musical accompaniments like the Falling Star or Tambourines are acceptable.

Have fun experimenting with all the possibilities!!!!!!!!

When your project is completed save the native file (extension .band) in a folder with your last name_GB1. Next go to Share/Export Song to Disk. Choose MP3 Encoder and High Quality for compression and click Export. Navigate to the same folder name your files with your last name_GB1 and save.

Submit your entire Folder with your native GarageBand File and your MP3 file along with your statement of purpose to the appropriate drop box AM or PM whichever class you are in.
