SHELL AGM 2015: IRISH POLICE ALCOHOL BILL ON THE AGENDA
JOHN DONOVAN EMAIL TO MR MICHIEL BRANDJES, COMPANY SECRETARY AND GENERAL COUNSEL CORPORATE, ROYAL DUTCH SHELL PLC

Dear Mr Brandjes
Several months ago, I publicly accused OSSL directors of bombarding Shell with blackmail demands for two years over the Shell sponsored corruption scandal in Ireland.
OSSL directors admitted supplying “gifts” on behalf of its client Shell EP Ireland to various parties, including the Irish police, to smooth the troubled path of the Corrib Gas Project.
One apparently legitimate OSSL invoice to Shell was for £30,000 of free booze showered on Irish cops accused of acting brutally towards “Shell To Sea” campaigners.
If the invoice was anything other than “legitimate” e.g. fraudulent, I assume that Shell would have called in the police on that basis alone.
Returning to the blackmail issue, OSSL has steadfastly maintained that I have been mistaken in saying that were blackmailing Shell. A conclusion on my part that led me to reporting the alleged crime to the Irish Police and every Irish TD.
I still have not seen anything from OSSL that would lead me to a different conclusion, but since neither Shell or the Irish authorities have taken any action against OSSL, I can only assume that I must have been wrong.
Please let me know if in fact Shell has reported attempted blackmail by OSSL to any police authority. If you have, please indicate which police force.
If there is no response by Friday evening, I will take that as absolute confirmation that I was wrong in my conclusion and that there is no question of blackmail being involved.
In that event, I will change the OSSL related display on my website and assist OSSL in bringing their claims against Shell to the attention of shareholders at the third consecutive AGM of Royal Dutch Shell Plc.
Yours sincerely
John Donovan
