Are you tired of the unending traffic problems in our main thorough fares?
A study conducted by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) in July 2013 shows that we lose 2.6 Billion daily because of traffic in the metro. It has been two years since that was published. (http://business.inquirer.net/152089/p2-3t-transport-infra-plan-proposed). Our government has a projected loss of PhP 18,928,000,000,000 (Trillion). It is now 2015, and MMDA still has no concrete solution to our traffic woes and misery. In fact our traffic problems have worsened. The travel alone from Commonwealth, Quezon City to Makati would take a commuter over 2 hours with only a distance of 15 kilometers. An office worker has to spend at least 4 hours in traffic everyday if he lives in Quezon City and works in Makati. Normally it should take him 30 minutes to commute. I am sure this government will respond "Buhay pa naman kayo 'di ba?"
The insensitivity and arrogance of this administration has caused the ordinary Filipino worker unnecessary suffering. In fact, this administration is so calloused that it continues to use public funds for the advanced campaigning of those running for public office under the slate of the administration. This includes MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino. Barely six months from filing of candidacy, Chairman Tolentino has already sent feelers to the media and his shadow can not be seen in MMDA to supervise the traffic in the Metro. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huB4c18qwBQ) While he is busy joining sorties, we are left to fend for ourselves in the traffic. Sobra na, Tama na, Palitan na!
PSLINK, an organization of public workers with 85,000 members calls for MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino to resign his post and not use public office to his advantage in the 2016 Senatorial elections. You have no right to be in MMDA while we tax payers wallow half of our time in a day in traffic. Kami ang Boss mo, we urge you to resign!
