The Future of Solar in California is at Risk

Dear  Friend,

The CPUC is about to about to make a ruling that could devastate the future for home solar installations in California.  The CPUC makes the rules on how much homeowners are paid for the energy they generate from their solar panels.  If the utilities get their way, the payments would drop by up to 50%, making home solar no longer a financial benefit to families.  On top of that, the utilities want to add extra fees for solar customers only.  Sign the petition. 

Utilities across the U.S. are watching California – if these new rules pass here, they will be proposed across the U.S. and the future of the home solar market will be in serious jeopardy.  Utilities are waging war on home and distributed solar installations because they see it as a threat to their business model and profits.

Don’t let the utilities win – we must protect home solar installations and make sure the benefits of solar are available for all Californians. Sign the petition.  A hit to the solar market now would seriously jeopardize our pathway away from fossil fuels to clean energy.  The CPUC has slid under the radar for too long, passing regulations with little attention.  That stops now.  Make your voice heard on protecting the future of solar in CA.  Read more here.
