SHELL INSATIABLE GREED
2015: A Year of People Powered Change
Happy holidays! This winter season, I am looking forward to spending time with family and taking a moment to reflect on the last year. Isn’t it incredible what we were able to accomplish together in 2015? When people like you stood up to demand change, you got it. You said no to Arctic drilling, and Shell backed down. You insisted that Keystone was the wrong choice, and President Obama rejected it. You said that we needed politicians around the globe to take climate change seriously, and our world’s leaders put together a groundbreaking climate deal. To celebrate all the bold acts of courage that folks like you took this year, I want to share a short video with you. I hope you’ll take a look! |
Don’t get me wrong — we’ve got our work cut out for us next year. Here in the U.S., there’s still a public debate about whether climate change even exists. So next year, each of us will need to pour our hearts into this movement even more. By taking action online, marching for climate justice, and speaking out about what matters most to us, I know we can do it.
There’s a long road ahead, but for now let’s take a moment to be thankful for the long way we’ve traveled already.
With gratitude,
Annie Leonard

P.S. Thank you so much for your past support. I can't wait to see what we will accomplish together in 2016. Here's to an exciting year ahead!
